APC Hails Oborevwori’s Projects, Says Delta Witnessing Progress

The All Progressives Congress (APC) says Delta State is witnessing measurable improvements in infrastructure and social development under the administration of Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, citing multiple projects currently underway across the state.

Central to the party’s position is the construction of major flyovers, including the N59.7 billion Uromi Junction Flyover in Agbor and the N39.3 billion Otovwodo Junction Flyover in Ughelli. According to the APC, the projects, handled by Julius Berger and other contractors, are designed to reduce traffic bottlenecks, improve safety and strengthen economic activities along critical transport corridors.

In a statement issued Tuesday by its National Publicity Secretary, Barrister Felix Morka, the party said the scale and spread of the projects demonstrate a commitment to long-term planning. It noted that additional flyover constructions at PTI Junction, DSC Roundabout and Enerhen Junction have brought the number of similar projects in the state to five.

The APC further pointed to social and economic interventions under the governor’s MORE Agenda, including payment of pension arrears, support for widows, funding for small businesses, improved investment in education and upgraded healthcare facilities. The party said the administration’s alignment with the federal Renewed Hope Agenda has enhanced Delta State’s capacity to deliver development and urged the governor to sustain the momentum.
