Army, Police Reaffirm Joint Commitment to Security in Delta

The Nigerian Army and the Delta State Police Command have renewed their commitment to enhanced collaboration in addressing security challenges across the state. This followed a courtesy visit by the Commissioner of Police, CP Aina Adesola, to the Commander of 63 Brigade, Operation Delta Safe, Brigadier General Moronfolu Shonibare, in Asaba.

The visit focused on strengthening inter-agency cooperation, intelligence sharing and joint operations, particularly in riverine and coastal areas prone to criminal activities.

CP Adesola emphasized that effective policing requires sustained synergy among security agencies, while Brigadier General Shonibare assured the police of the army’s full support in crime prevention and maintenance of public order.

The renewed partnership aligns with the objectives of the Delta State Security Trust Fund launched in October 2025, aimed at improving safety through coordinated public and private sector involvement.
