Boxing Star Anthony Joshua Survives Ogun Road Accident, Two Dead
World heavyweight boxing star Anthony Joshua was involved in a road traffic accident on the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway on Tuesday, causing serious disruption around Makun area of Ogun State. The incident occurred along the Ibadan-bound lane near Sagamu, drawing the attention of motorists and emergency responders.
According to information gathered at the scene, the Lexus SUV conveying Joshua collided with a stationary truck close to Danco Filling Station, shortly before the Sagamu Interchange. The crash resulted in fatalities, with two individuals confirmed dead at the scene, while Joshua was reported to have sustained only minor injuries.
A wyewho participated in the rescue efforts, confirmed the casualties and noted that emergency teams moved swiftly to secure the area and assist survivors. The circumstances surrounding why the truck was parked on the highway remain under investigation by relevant authorities.
Attempts to obtain official updates from the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) Commandant, Akinbiyi Babatunde, were unsuccessful as of press time, while further updates on Joshua’s condition are awaited.
