Tinubu to Present 2026 Budget Before National Assembly

President Bola Tinubu will appear before a joint sitting of the Senate and House of Representatives on Friday to present the 2026 Appropriation Bill. The session is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. at the National Assembly complex.

A notice from the Clerk to the National Assembly informed lawmakers and staff of tightened security arrangements ahead of the event. Accredited officials are expected to be on ground by 11:00 a.m., after which entry into the complex will be restricted.

Only principal officers and essential staff will be allowed access, while other workers have been directed to use designated parking areas outside the main complex. The presentation formally opens legislative scrutiny of the 2026 fiscal estimates.
