Police Arrest Peller Over Reckless Driving Live Stream in Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command has taken into custody Habeeb Hamzat, widely known as Peller, following a viral video showing him driving dangerously and crashing his vehicle during a live social media broadcast on Sunday, December 14.

Police authorities said the incident put the lives of other road users at risk, prompting immediate action. The suspect is currently being held as investigations continue at the State Criminal Investigation Department.

According to the command, Peller will be charged to court once the investigation is completed. The case has drawn attention to the growing trend of risky stunts performed for online content.

Commissioner of Police Olohundare Jimoh warned influencers and content creators against promoting dangerous behavior, stressing that traffic laws will be strictly enforced to protect public safety across the state.
