“Trans Warri Ode-Itsekiri Road Completed, Ready for Commissioning In 2026” -Oborevwori

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has announced the completion of the Trans Warri Ode-Itsekiri Road and Bridges Project.

The 20.95km Road which was conceived by the Chief James Ibori administration, saw significant progress spanning through both former Governors, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan and Ifeanyi Okowa administrations.

Announcing the completion of the 19 years old project via a video posted on his official social media handle on Wednesday, Oborevwori said, “We are proud to announce that yesterday marked the completion of the 20.95 km Trans-Warri–Ode-Itsekiri Road, featuring 15 bridges of various spans. With this, the project is essentially complete — 19 years after the contract was first awarded.

This is a landmark achievement and a deeply cherished milestone for the Itsekiri people. A promise made, and a promise kept.

We give God Almighty the praise for bringing this vision to reality. The project is expected to be commissioned in the first quarter of next year.”

The road and bridges will connect the largely coastal communities of Warri South viz; Ode-Itsekiri, Orugbo, Ajigba, Inorin, Usele, Ugbodede, Ifiekporo, Aja-Etan, Ikeren to mainland Warri.
