United Nigeria Airlines accepts apologies from VeryDarkMan Mr Jollof

United Nigeria Airlines has accepted public apologies from online personalities Martins Otse (VeryDarkMan) and Freedom Atsepoyi (Mr Jollof) following their involvement in an onboard altercation on Flight UN0523 from Asaba to Lagos on November 17, 2025. The airline said it acknowledged their commitment to avoid behaviour that could compromise safety or order during flights.

In a statement signed by spokesperson Chibuike Uloka, the airline thanked aviation regulators, airport security and its crew for responding swiftly and professionally. It noted that all actions taken during the incident aligned with established safety procedures.

United Nigeria Airlines reaffirmed its support for the Airline Operators of Nigeria and regulatory bodies working to curb unruly passenger conduct nationwide. It urged travellers to cooperate fully with airline and security personnel to maintain safe and respectful travel conditions.

The carrier added that a coordinated approach across the sector is essential to preventing disruptions that could endanger passengers or crew.
