BBNaija’s Tuoyo accuses NDLEA of assault during Lagos nightclub raid
Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Tuoyo Ideh, has alleged that operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) physically assaulted him during a recent raid on Proxy Nightclub, Victoria Island, Lagos. The operation, which took place in the early hours of Sunday, October 26, reportedly led to the arrest of socialite Pretty Mike and over a hundred other guests.
Tuoyo, who shared his ordeal in a video posted on Instagram Monday night, said he was at the club in his role as a promoter after helping clients reserve a table. According to him, NDLEA officials accompanied by military personnel burst into the venue, ordering patrons to lie down and surrender their phones. Despite being cleared during a security check, he claimed he was later detained and subjected to inhumane treatment.
The reality star recounted that while in custody, he and other detainees were ordered to roll on the floor and beaten with sticks. He alleged that a female officer later intervened to stop the assault but insisted he perform frog jumps despite his visible pain. “I thought I was going to give up,” Tuoyo said, adding that the incident left him with severe body pain and emotional trauma.
Posting footage of his injuries, Tuoyo lamented what he called the violation of his human rights. He stated that the experience made him feel helpless and humiliated, expressing frustration over the abuse of power by security operatives. “We live in a country where our rights and voices are trampled on,” he said.
