Ned Nwoko Urges Oborevwori to Abandon Politics of Survival

Senator Ned Nwoko

Senator Ned Nwoko has called on Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to leave behind “old habits” as he joins the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Governor Oborevwori recently defected from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC. In a statement, Nwoko welcomed the move but urged him to make it meaningful.

He advised the governor to move away from the “old deals” that, he said, contributed to the decline of the PDP in Delta State.

“Leave behind the politics of survival and step into the politics of legacy,” Nwoko said.

The senator also highlighted ongoing plans within the APC to amend the constitution, including proposals to create two new states, Anioma and New Delta.

Nwoko said the move was aimed at correcting “historical imbalances” and ending regional marginalisation.

He urged Oborevwori to play a leading role in these reforms, promoting fairness, inclusive development, and good governance.
