Delta Police Beefs Up Security for Easter Celebration
The Delta State Police Command has deployed a large number of officers across the state to ensure a peaceful and crime-free Easter celebration.
Commissioner of Police, Abaniwonda Olufemi, said the Command remains committed to maintaining security during the festive period.
All senior officers and tactical units—including the Dragon Patrol, Rapid Response Squad, and Eagle-Net—have been directed to increase patrols and visibility in key areas.

Officers will also be stationed at churches and popular recreational spots to boost security.
The police said efforts will include targeted crime prevention and public awareness campaigns.
Residents are urged to remain vigilant, report suspicious activity, and cooperate with officers.
Olufemi assured that the police will work with other security agencies to maintain peace and wished all Deltans a safe and happy Easter.
