Remi Tinubu Distributes 10,000 Healthcare Kits in South-South
Nigerian First Lady, Senator Oluremi has presented 10,000 healthcare kits to midwives in the South-South region via The Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI).
During the presentation ceremony in Asaba on Tuesday, March 25, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has reaffirmed that the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) Health Programme is designed to complement the Nigerian government’s efforts to make healthcare more accessible, affordable, and available for citizens.

The kits—comprising crocs and scrubs—were part of a broader initiative to train 120,000 healthcare workers, with 60,470 already completing their training. The South-South region received its share of 10,000 kits, part of a nationwide distribution, made possible by an anonymous global partner.

The First Lady also commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his support, noting that 2,000 women in Delta State would receive N50,000 each to boost their businesses. She emphasized RHI’s success in various sectors, including agriculture, education, and healthcare, since its launch in 2023.
Governor Oborevwori expressed gratitude for the First Lady’s continued efforts to improve healthcare and empower women, stating that the kit distribution would enhance midwives’ morale and effectiveness. He praised midwives for their crucial role in maternal and child health.
Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, representing Delta’s people, thanked Senator Tinubu for her ongoing support to women and children in the region.
Since its launch in 2023, the RHI has made strides in various sectors, including healthcare, education, agriculture, and social welfare, benefiting communities across Nigeria.
