Warri Set to Hold First Local Content Conference

The inaugural Local Content Conference and Exhibition is set to take place in Warri, Delta State, from March 19 to March 20, 2025. The event, organized by Lee Engineering Group, a leading Engineering company, will bring together top stakeholders from Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.

Among the dignitaries expected at the conference are Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Engr. Felix Ogbe, Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Content Management and Development Board (NCDMB), Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, and Ekperikpe Ekpo, Minister of State for Gas Resources.

Themed “Local Content, Global Impact: Energising Nigerian Expertise in the Oil and Gas Industry for National Growth,” the conference will provide a platform for stakeholders to engage in meaningful dialogue about the opportunities, challenges, and best practices for promoting local content across various sectors. It also aims to foster collaboration between government bodies, local businesses, and international players in the industry.

The event will be held at the Petroleum Training Institute Event Centre in Warri and is expected to draw a wide range of participants, including government officials, regulators, local and international businesses, industry associations, chambers of commerce, academia, research institutions, consultants, and contractors.

This conference is poised to be a pivotal moment in advancing Nigeria’s local content policies and fostering sustainable growth in the nation’s oil and gas sector.
