Doyin Okupe Dies at 71

Former presidential spokesperson Doyin Okupe has passed away, his death confirmed today, Friday, March 7

Sources close to the family say Dr. Okupe had been critically ill in recent weeks, with his health deteriorating significantly. His passing is believed to be linked to a long-standing battle with cancer, a struggle that had worsened in recent months.

Warri Sentinel learnt Okupe was hospitalised with prostate cancer in October, 2023 and subsequently flown to Israel for treatment. However, it is understood that his condition failed to improve as he and his family had hoped.
