Father and Daughter Murdered Over Land Dispute in Delta
A 70-year-old man, Mr Aghanti, and his 50-year-old daughter, Mrs Atagoshi, have been murdered over a land dispute in Amai community, Ukwuani Local Government Area, Delta State.
Warri Sentinel gathered the victims were lured by the suspect into the bush under the guise of resolving the conflict regarding the land. Their decapitated bodies were later found in the bush.
Delta Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, confirmed the horrifying event, saying the suspect invited the woman and her father to the bush, where they were killed and decapitated.

“The assailant had called the woman that he wanted to have a discussion with her about the land. He now took them to Amai community bush, killed them and cut off their heads.
On that same day (Friday) the vigilante caught one Emeke with two human heads, so he was mobbed and burnt to death. When the people checked, they found out that the human heads were those of the father and the daughter.”
The piece of land purchased by Mrs.Atagoshi, a secondary school teacher, had previously been contested by other people.
Efforts are ongoing by the Police are still working to apprend the main suspect, who is still at large.
