Dangote Cuts Petrol Price to N899 for Christmas

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the price of its petrol to N899.50 per litre, aiming to provide relief to Nigerians ahead of the Christmas and New Year holidays. In a statement, the refinery’s spokesperson, Anthony Chiejina, emphasized that the price cut is specifically designed to ease transport costs during the festive period.

This new pricing comes after the refinery previously lowered the cost of petrol to N970 per litre in November. According to Chiejina, the N899.50 per litre rate will be available at the refinery’s truck loading gantry or Single Point Mooring (SPM) facilities, starting immediately.

The refinery also introduced an additional incentive: for every litre purchased on a cash basis, customers will have the opportunity to buy an additional litre on credit. This arrangement aims to support consumers and is backed by bank guarantees from Access Bank, First Bank, or Zenith Bank, providing a flexible payment option for fuel purchasers during the holiday season.

Chiejina expressed the company’s gratitude to Nigerians for their continued support, especially as the country enters a crucial holiday period. “To alleviate transport costs during this holiday season, Dangote Refinery is offering a holiday discount on PMS,” he said.

With a daily refining capacity of 650,000 barrels, the Dangote Refinery continues to play a significant role in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.
