Stolen Infants Reunited With Mothers as Police Probe Alleged Child Abduction in Delta
Two infants (3 months and 4 months old) allegedly taken from their mothers in separate incidents have been reunited with their families following the arrest of a woman in Uzere, Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State.
The suspect, Joy was reportedly apprehended after she presented the children at a church dedication ceremony on Sunday. Following her arrest, she was transferred to Asaba as investigators widened their probe into the circumstances surrounding the alleged abductions.

Preliminary findings indicate that the woman had claimed to have given birth to twins. However the babies died after being bathed with cold water, weeks before the planned dedication ceremony. Rather than disclose the loss to her husband, she allegedly sought to replace them by taking two infants belonging to vulnerable mothers.
The case began to unravel after the mothers of the missing children separately reported the disappearance of their babies, triggering a police investigation.
Both infants were rescued safely and returned to their biological mothers, bringing relief to the affected families. The suspect remains in custody while further investigations continue.
