Peter Obi Emerges Sole Aspirant for NDC Presidential Ticket
Former Labour Party presidential candidate, , has emerged as the only contender to obtain the Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) 2027 presidential primary, as the party concludes the sale of forms.
Sources within the party revealed that Obi was the lone aspirant before the deadline for the purchase of the presidential forms ended on Sunday, May 17, 2026, placing him in a favourable position ahead of the party’s nomination process.
Obi, who previously served as governor of Anambra State, recently defected to the NDC after parting ways with the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
