DELSU Says Lectures Will Continue Amid Ongoing SSANU, NASU Strike

Delta State University (DELSU) has assured its students that academic work will continue as scheduled despite the ongoing strike by the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) and the Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU).

The university confirmed that the industrial action, which began on May 1, 2026, has disrupted some non-teaching services within the institution. However, it stressed that core academic activities remain unaffected.

Management noted that discussions are ongoing between the Federal Government and the unions in a bid to resolve the dispute and restore full normalcy across campuses.

Students were encouraged to remain focused on their studies and continue attending lectures, with the institution reaffirming that the academic calendar remains unchanged.
