Delta CP Orders Trial of Officers Over Viral Extortion Video

Delta State Police Command has initiated disciplinary proceedings against Inspector Augustine Jeremiah and Corporal Miracle Ehirim over their appearance in a viral video that drew widespread attention.

Commissioner of Police, Yemi Oyeniyi, directed that the officers face an orderly room trial without delay. Police Public Relations Officer, Bright Edafe, disclosed that the process is expected to be concluded today, with the outcome to be released to the public.

The command maintained that the action aligns with its commitment to uphold professionalism, stressing that cases of misconduct will be promptly addressed.
