Association Raises Alarm Over Unregulated Billboards in Delta State

The Association of Professional Bodies of Nigeria (APBN) in Delta State has raised concern about the growing number of billboards across cities in the state. The group said many of these structures are being put up without proper control.

In a statement by its Chairman, Lewis Afolabi, and Secretary, Emmanuel Enebeli, APBN said the situation is affecting how towns and cities look. It added that the spread of billboards is making the environment appear crowded and disorganized.

The group also warned that some of the billboards may not be safe. According to APBN, poorly built or badly installed structures could fall, especially during heavy winds or bad weather, putting people at risk.

APBN called on the Delta State Government to take action by setting clear rules, checking existing billboards, and removing any that are not safe.
