Crisis in APC as Agbarha Ward Suspends Party Members

UGHELLI NORTH APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Agbarha Ward, Ughelli North Local Government Area, has announced the suspension of some members over alleged violations of the party’s constitution.

The decision was reached during an emergency meeting of the Agbarha Ward Executive Committee held on March 30, 2026, at the party secretariat in Agbarha-Otor. In a formal communication sent to the APC leadership in Ughelli North, the ward listed those affected, including Christopher Ominimini Obiuwevbi.

Ward officials stated that the action followed provisions of Article 21(2) (i), (ii), (iv), and (vi) of the APC Constitution, citing allegations such as gross misconduct, insubordination, and activities considered harmful to party unity. The resolution carried the signatures of Ward Chairman Obus Sylvester Emoefe, Vice Chairman Ejovwoke Omamose, Secretary Christopher Imoniunu, and 19 other members of the ward executive.

However, Obiuwevbi dismissed the suspension, saying it was politically driven and noting that his supporters would take steps to respond. The ward leadership has asked the Ughelli North Local Government Executive Committee to review and ratify the resolution.
