Ozoro Assault: Police Arrest 11 More Suspects

The Delta State Police Command has arrested 11 additional suspects over alleged sexual assaults during a festival in Ozoro, bringing the total in custody to 15.

The arrests were made by the CP Special Assignment Team on the directive of Commissioner of Police Aina Adesola, following analysis of video evidence and intelligence.

Police said the suspects, including Samson Atukpodo, Steven Ovie, Ugbevo Samson, Afoke Akporobaro, and others, were part of criminal elements who exploited the event to carry out the attacks.

The command condemned the incident and assured that all perpetrators will be identified and prosecuted, urging victims and witnesses to provide information as investigations continue.
