Pondi Disburses N800m Grant to 80 Nigerian Entrepreneurs

Eighty entrepreneurs drawn from across Nigeria have benefited from an N800 million empowerment initiative under the High Chief Kestin Pondi Business Grant, aimed at boosting small and medium-scale enterprises.

The cheques were presented on Monday in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State by the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Kestin Pondi, as part of activities marking his February 4 birthday celebration.

The initiative, initially planned for 50 beneficiaries, was later expanded to 80 after an additional N100 million was contributed by the Managing Director of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, Festus Ochonogor, alongside the General Manager of Tantita, Tare Pondi, and the Delta State Commissioner for Power and Energy, Michael Ifeanyi Anoka.

At the event themed “Your Skill, Your Business, Our Support,” Pondi urged the beneficiaries to invest the N10 million grants wisely to strengthen their businesses and generate employment. The programme also included a business development training session and attracted several dignitaries, among them the Delta State Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, Orode Uduaghan.
