Ex-Bayelsa Gov Seriake Dickson Dumps PDP for NDC

The Senator representing Bayelsa West, Seriake Dickson, has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the newly registered Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).

Dickson, a former governor of Bayelsa State, made the announcement on Thursday during a media briefing in Abuja, where he explained that persistent internal disagreements within the PDP influenced his decision to leave the party.

According to him, the party has become weakened by its lingering leadership crisis and no longer speaks strongly on key national issues. He added that the internal conflicts have significantly diminished the PDP’s capacity to accommodate many of its members.

The senator said the NDC, recently registered by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), offers a fresh platform for opposition politics and urged Nigerians to join the party in the effort to build a better country.
