The governor added that his administration is repositioning tertiary education to produce graduates capable of driving economic growth, stressing the need to align education with 21st-century demands.

He described the convocation as the culmination of years of discipline, learning and character development, noting that the graduating class reflects the university’s impact on societal transformation.

Earlier, Prof. Asagba described the ceremony as a significant academic milestone that goes beyond awarding degrees, serving as a platform for institutional reflection, performance evaluation and policy advancement.

He also commended the state government for its continued support under the MORE Agenda, particularly in the regular payment of staff salaries and interventions in critical development areas.

The Vice-Chancellor charged the graduands to remain disciplined and focused, urging them to be worthy ambassadors of the institution and to apply their knowledge toward meaningful contributions to society.
