President Tinubu Signs 2025 Budget Into Law

President Bola Tinubu has officially signed the 2025 appropriation bill into law, with a total value of N54.99 trillion. This represents a significant increase of 99.96% compared to the 2024 budget, which stood at N27.5 trillion. The signing ceremony took place at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The bill was passed by both chambers of the National Assembly on 13 February, after adjustments were made to raise its figure.

In a statement, Senate President Godswill Akpabio assured that the National Assembly would support any policy aimed at improving the well-being of Nigerians. He also pledged to enhance oversight once the implementation of the budget commences.
