Delta ADC Chairman Denies Suspension, Says Party Remains United
The Delta State Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Engr. Austine C. Okolie, has denied claims of his suspension, accusing non-members of the party of mischief.
In a firm response to a media statement alleging a vote of no confidence in his leadership, Okolie said the individuals behind the announcement lack any constitutional standing within the ADC, stating they have never attended ward, local government, or state-level meetings of the party.
He accused the group of attempting to destabilize the party’s structure, insisting that the ADC in Delta State remains united and focused on its mission ahead of the 2027 general elections. “We will not be distracted by unknown individuals whose only motive is to create disunity,” he said.
Reaffirming his position, Okolie urged members to remain steadfast and ignore what he called a false narrative of leadership change. He assured the public that the ADC in Delta is strong, organised, and fully committed to Nigeria’s democratic future.
