Family Condemns Wike for Disparaging Remarks About Late Edwin Clark

The family of the late PANDEF and South-south leader, Chief Edwin Clark has strongly condemned the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, over what they described as disparaging remarks about the deceased elder statesman.

In a statement signed by Professor C. Clark, the family expressed their deep disappointment with Wike’s decision to engage in political rhetoric at a time of mourning.

The family criticised Wike for turning a moment of grief into “pathetic and bitter politics,” calling on the public to hold him accountable.

The family further reminded Wike that, according to African traditions, the dead, especially revered figures like Clark should be respected, as reflected in the outpouring of condolences from across the country.

The family concluded by urging those concerned to pray for Wike and call him to order.
