This decision was made during the inaugural Executive Council (EXCO) meeting of 2025, which was chaired by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori at the Government House in Asaba on Thursday, February 13.

Charles Aniagwu, Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads) and Public Information, announced the approvals after the meeting, calling the decision “record-breaking” and a powerful response to critics.

The projects will span across all three senatorial districts of the state, including the construction of roads, healthcare facilities, and urban redevelopment initiatives.

A significant feature of the approved projects is that they will be funded with 40% mobilization, with no need for the state to take out loans, reflecting the state’s financial stability and the transparent governance approach of Governor Oborevwori.
