Ughelli North Chair Presents N17.6bn Budget for 2025

The Chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Area in Delta State, Jaro Egbo, on Thursday February 6, presented a N17.6 billion budget for 2025 to the council’s Legislative House for approval.

Egbo described the budget, dubbed the “Budget of Meaningful Development,” as a roadmap for progress, focusing on infrastructure, youth and women empowerment, health programmes, and boosting internal revenue.

The budget includes N12.2 billion for recurrent expenditure, N4.19 billion for overheads, and N5.4 billion for capital projects aimed at improving all 20 wards. Egbo emphasized efforts to increase revenue, reduce leakages, and ensure transparency in budget implementation.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to youth and women empowerment, peace, and security, while stressing continued collaboration with the legislative arm to fulfill Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda.

Egbo urged the councilors to approve the budget and support its implementation for the development of the local government.
