Kwankwaso Denies Sponsoring Planned Protest

Vice Presidential Candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has denied reports linking him to any planned protest over the worsening insecurity in the country.

In a press statement released today on his official X account, Kwankwaso said his attention had been drawn to a message circulating across social media platforms claiming he was mobilising or sponsoring a protest.

He described the message as false and urged members of the public to disregard it.

Kwankwaso stated that he does not support any action capable of causing a breakdown of public order or leading to the destruction of lives and property.

He noted that while insecurity remains a serious national concern, peaceful and constructive engagement remains the appropriate path for addressing the country’s challenges.
