Nigeria Football Federation

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has congratulated Nigerian international players who won league and cup titles with their respective clubs across Europe this season.

NFF President Ibrahim Musa Gusau praised the players for their achievements, saying their success reflects their quality, consistency, and class across different competitions.
“The NFF is very happy with the achievements of these players in their various clubs and leagues. It is a thing of joy to see our players winning trophies here and there, as it presents assurance that they are in good form to deliver whenever any international match or tournament comes up,” Gusau said.

“We congratulate them warmly and wish them greater heights, while charging them not to rest on their oars but rather pursue even greater glory in their different stations,” he added.

Victor Osimhen was among the standout names after helping Galatasaray win the Turkish Super Lig title. Zaidu Sanusi also celebrated success after FC Porto won the Taça de Portugal, while Terem Moffi joined the list of title winners following his loan move from OGC Nice in January.

Igoh Ogbu also finished the campaign as a league champion with Slavia Prague, while Francis Uzoho won the Cypriot First Division title with Omonia Nicosia.

Semi Ajayi was also among the Nigerian players who ended the season with silverware after Hull City secured promotion to the English Premier League through victory in the Championship play-off final.

In the women’s game, Christy Ucheibe enjoyed a successful season with SL Benfica, winning three domestic trophies. Shukurat Oladipo was named Best Defender in the Serie A Femminile after helping AS Roma Women win the title, while Rinsola Babajide also played her part in Roma’s title-winning campaign with two goals in nine league appearances.
