Odin-Etuwewe Emerges PDP Candidate for Warri South-West Assembly Seat

Former Leader of the Warri South-West Legislative Arm, Hon. Emiko Odin-Etuwewe, has emerged as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) consensus candidate for the 2027 Delta State House of Assembly election.

The consensus endorsement took place on Friday at the Ogbe-Ijoh Town Hall, where more than 1000 accredited party members gathered under the supervision of party delegates to ratify the decision.

Odin-Etuwewe who emerged unopposed is expected to face the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the forthcoming poll.

Speaking shortly after his emergence, Odin-Etuwewe said his ambition was driven by a desire to promote development, unity and effective representation in Warri South-West.

“It will be progress ever and backward never. This will not be a title-chasing tenure, but a development-driven and people-centred administration where justice, unity and peace shall prevail,” he stated.

The PDP candidate described his emergence as a reflection of the people’s desire for change and expressed appreciation for the confidence reposed in him by party stakeholders and members.

Among party officials in attendance were Comrade Wilson Okubo, Ward One Chairman, Ogbe-Ijoh; Amorighoye Silver, Electoral Committee Chairman; Hon. David Oligida, PDP Chairman, Warri South-West Local Government Area; and Igbogbo Joseph, Chairman of Ward 8, as well as Umejioku Victor, a representative of the Independent National Electoral Commission.
