Oborevwori, Top Dignitaries Attend Oritsejafor’s Thanksgiving Service

Delta Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, on Sunday led top government officials and political leaders to a special thanksgiving service held in honour of former Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria President, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor and Rev’d Felix Omobude, following their survival of a recent air incident.

The thanksgiving service, which took place at Word of Life Bible Church, was attended by Deputy Governor Sir Monday Onyeme, Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly Emomotimi Guwor, clerics, political associates, and other dignitaries.

Speaking during the service, Oborevwori described the gathering as “a celebration of God’s faithfulness and mercy,” stressing the importance of spiritual leadership and prayers in governance.

“Fathers of Faith continue to pray for us and encourage us to do more for the people. Any politician who undermines Fathers of Faith is doomed because spiritual guidance and prayers are very important in leadership,” the governor said.

He also praised Oritsejafor for his contributions to the Christian faith and society, noting that the cleric had impacted lives across the world through ministry and mentorship.

In his remarks, Oritsejafor recounted several near-death experiences, including surviving air travel incidents over the years.

“I can’t explain it, but I know God loves me and He is a good God,” he said.

Delivering the sermon, David Zilly-Aggrey described the thanksgiving as evidence of divine preservation, saying, “God alone preserved these lives.”
