Sheriff Oborevwori to Flag Off ₦29.8bn Aboh–Akarai Road, Bridge Project

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, is set to flag off the construction of the 11-kilometre Aboh–Akarai Road and a bridge across the Okiri River in Ndokwa East Local Government Area today, Wednesday, May 6, 2026. The project is valued at ₦29.8 billion.

The Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads) and Public Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, disclosed this in a statement issued on Tuesday in Asaba, noting that the project is part of ongoing efforts by the state government to strengthen infrastructure in rural communities.

He added that the road and bridge project is expected to improve connectivity, ease movement, and support economic activities in the area and surrounding communities.
