ILOT Urges Support Ahead of First Lady’s Visit to Warri

The Itsekiri Leaders of Thought (ILOT) has welcomed the planned visit of Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, to the Warri Kingdom on February 26, saying the visit will help promote development in the area.

In a statement issued in Warri, the group said the First Lady’s connection to the kingdom could support growth in Itsekiri communities. It added that the visit will provide an opportunity to discuss important projects and strengthen cooperation with leaders.

ILOT called on residents to support major road projects, including the Koko–Ogheye–Lagos Highway and the Omadino–Ugborodo Road. The group urged people to come out and give the First Lady a warm welcome.

Traditional leaders and community groups also encouraged residents, especially women and youths, to participate in the visit, which will include a stop at the palace of the Ogiame Atuwatse III.
