Delta Govt Orders Temporary Shutdown of DSC Roundabout

Motorists in Effurun and surrounding areas will have to adjust their travel routes as the Delta State Government announced the temporary closure of the DSC Roundabout from February 24 to March 31, 2026.

The shutdown is to enable engineers complete ongoing construction works and finalize road connections beneath the flyover, part of broader efforts to ease congestion and modernize traffic infrastructure in the area.

During the closure, only vehicles traveling between Effurun and Ughelli will be permitted to ply the flyover. Motorists heading toward Otokutu, Mofor and neighboring communities are advised to divert through Ugbomro Road, Uti Road, PTI Road and other designated alternatives.

Government officials noted that the temporary inconvenience is necessary to ensure a smoother traffic system upon completion and urged commuters to cooperate with traffic personnel managing the diversions.
