Coach Stanley Osazee has been appointed as the new head coach of Delta Queens as the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership prepares to resume from its mid-season break. The club is banking on his vast experience and technical depth to spark a strong finish to the campaign.

Osazee brings with him an impressive blend of qualifications and achievements. He holds a CAF C Licence, an NPFL/LaLiga Advanced Coaching Licence and a Coaching Diploma, alongside certifications from the Nigeria Institute of Sports, credentials in Sports Management and accreditation from the Certified Football Coaches Association of African Nations. Over the years, he has handled women’s sides such as Novia Queens, Fortress Queens, Edo Queens and Imo United, in addition to managing St Paul FC and Nigeria Premier League outfit Bendel Insurance.

His track record includes two Edo FA Cup titles and two Super Six appearances with Edo Queens. At Bendel Insurance, he secured an NNL Championship and a Federation Cup triumph, leading the club to feature in the CAF Confederation Cup and the NPFL Super Six.

Reacting to the appointment, Executive Chairman of the Delta State Sports Commission, Onos Oborevwori, expressed strong belief in Osazee’s ability to reposition the team. He assured that the state government will provide full backing to ensure Delta Queens emerge as a dominant force in Nigerian women’s football and compete for honours at home and beyond.
