Southern Delta University Students Gain Practical Industry Exposure

Students of the Department of Quantity Surveying, Southern Delta University, Ozoro, have participated in a series of educational site visits across Delta State to strengthen their practical training.

This was contained in statement signed by Dr. Florence Chukwuebuni, Acting Director of Public Relations, Southern Delta University, Ozoro.

As part of the 300-level course Advanced Measurement of Construction Works, the students visited Bejaif Steel Construction Company in Ughelli to observe modern construction and measurement techniques.

They also joined technical site inspections organized by the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS), Delta State Chapter, covering the reconstruction of the Warri Township Stadium and the construction of the Specialist Hospital in Osubi.

The exercise featured students from 200 to 500 levels and underscores the University’s commitment to producing industry-ready professionals through hands-on learning.
