Prophet Jeremiah Denies Misusing NAFDAC’s Name

Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin of Christ MercyLand Deliverance Ministry has denied allegations that his ministry used the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) name to mislead the public regarding spiritual items.

In a statement issued on September 8, the church’s media spokesperson, Sophia Lloyd, dismissed the allegations as unfounded.

His response came after NAFDAC accused the church of exploiting its name to deceive the public.

The Warri-based pastor confirmed receiving a letter from NAFDAC on August 27, 2024, seeking an investigation into the use of miracle and healing items. He emphasized that the church complies with all legal requirements, including NAFDAC’s regulations, and operates under constitutional protections for religious freedom.

The statement also clarified that the church has never misused NAFDAC’s name nor engaged in producing or selling consumable goods.The church criticized the short timeframe for a response, stating they had informed NAFDAC of their position but had yet to receive a reply or any updates.

Additionally, the statement addressed legal matters involving a complainant, Mr. Martins Vincent Otse, also known as Verydarkblackman, accusing him of forging receipts to support his claims. The church noted that the receipts are under police investigation and differ from the official documents issued by its accounting department.
