“President Tinubu, Will be Defeated Massively” – Seriake Dickson

National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Seriake Dickson, has expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) will be defeated in the 2027 general elections.

Dickson made the remarks on Sunday during an appearance on Politics Today, a programme on Channels Television, while discussing the NDC’s preparations for the next general elections.

According to him, the party believes Nigerians are dissatisfied with the current administration and are ready for a change at the polls.

“As leader of the NDC, and as a Nigerian who knows the feelings and yearnings of Nigerians, whose aspirations have not been met, we believe that the APC government, the APC as a party, and President Tinubu will be defeated massively,” he said.

He, however, stressed that the outcome of the election would ultimately be determined by Nigerians, urging that the political space be kept open and free from what he described as “contrived legal shenanigans” aimed at influencing the democratic process.

Dickson also appealed to the judiciary to remain impartial, warning against actions that could undermine the country’s democracy.

“My plea to the leadership of Nigeria’s judiciary, which is the pride of our nation and holds the balance, is to please not allow desperate politicians to truncate our democracy,” he added.
