Oluremi Tinubu Urges Unity, Empowers 1,000 Petty Traders in Warri

First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu has called for unity among Nigerians, saying President Bola Tinubu is committed to the nation’s growth and development.

She spoke at a civic reception held in her honour at the palace of the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, where she was conferred with the title Utokperitse of Warri.

Mrs Tinubu said she does not influence the President’s decisions, describing him as a leader who “knows what is right for the people.” She also announced a N50 million empowerment fund for 1,000 female petty traders in the area.

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori praised her humility and service, pledging Delta State’s support for the President’s reforms. The monarch assured the First Lady and her husband of the kingdom’s prayers and backing.

The Oni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Ojaja II, the Dein of Agbor, His Majesty Keagborekuzi I and other monarchs were present.

In his speech, the Olu of Warri said her visit, coinciding with Lent and Ramadan, symbolised unity and divine timing. He assured her and the President of the kingdom’s prayers and support, urging ethnic nationalities in the region to embrace peace for sustainable development.
