The All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, as Chairman of the Entertainment and Welfare Committee for its 2026 National Convention.

The decision was announced in a press statement issued on February 25, 2026, in Abuja by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka. The party confirmed the approval of 17 sub-committees to oversee key aspects of the convention, including screening, elections, security, finance, media, logistics, medical response and legal advisory.

Oborevwori will work alongside Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, who will serve as Co-Chairman of the Entertainment and Welfare Committee, while Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, will serve as Vice Chairman.

According to the statement, the committees are mandated to coordinate operational, administrative, electoral and programme activities to ensure a seamless and transparent convention. The APC urged committee members to carry out their duties in line with the party’s constitution and guidelines, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening internal democracy through a credible national convention.
