APC Governors now 30, as Fintiri Defects from PDP
Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The governor made the announcement on Friday morning during a statewide broadcast, accompanied by his cabinet members and senior party officials.
His departure follows the recent defection of 15 members of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, including the Speaker, from the PDP. The move was widely anticipated after Fintiri was seen hosting APC leaders in the state.
With Fintiri’s switch to the ruling party, the APC is now positioned to control 30 states across Nigeria.
