Warri Set to Host Landmark Blue Economy Summit 2026

Warri, Delta State, will take center stage from June 24–27, 2026, as stakeholders from across Nigeria converge for the Warri Blue Economy Summit (WABES) 2026 at Eden Suites, Warri.

The summit themed, “Harnessing Our Blue Wealth for Sustainable Growth and Shared Prosperity,” is expected to attract policymakers, investors, industry leaders, environmental experts, entrepreneurs, and development partners committed to advancing Nigeria’s blue economy.

Convened by the Olu of Warri, His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy and the Delta State Government, the summit will explore investment opportunities, innovation, infrastructure development, environmental sustainability, and job creation across coastal and riverine communities.

Among distinguished speakers expected at the summit are Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Dr. Adegboyega Oyetola and the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III.

Special guests expected include Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori; Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme; Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa; General Manager of Lagos State Waterways Authority, Mr. Oluwadamilola Emmanuel; former NIMASA Director-General, Dr. Temisan Omatseye; FTAN President, Dr. Badaki Aliyu; and several other leading experts, academics, business executives, and development practitioners.

Organisers say WABES 2026 will serve as a platform for forging strategic partnerships and practical solutions aimed at unlocking the immense economic potential of Warri, the Niger Delta, and Nigeria’s coastal regions.
