Jamani Tommy Ejiro Gains Strong Backing in APC Primary for Sapele Constituency II
Delta Commissioner for Environment, Jamani Tommy Ejiro, received overwhelming support from party members during the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for Sapele Constituency II ahead of the 2027 Delta State House of Assembly election.
The primary, which formed part of the APC’s statewide exercise to select candidates for new House of Assembly seats across Delta State, attracted keen interest from party faithful and stakeholders in the constituency.
Although the outcome of the exercise has generated optimism among Ejiro’s supporters, the APC leadership is expected to officially announce and ratify the results in accordance with the party’s guidelines.
Supporters of Ejiro described the development as a reflection of confidence in his leadership qualities, grassroots appeal and record of public service.
They cited his tenure as Commissioner for Environment, where he was involved in environmental management initiatives, flood control programmes, sanitation campaigns and other development efforts across the state.
According to his supporters, Ejiro’s longstanding relationship with communities across the three wards that make up Sapele State Constituency II has positioned him as a strong advocate for improved infrastructure, youth empowerment, enhanced social services and expanded economic opportunities.
Widely regarded by supporters as an accessible and consultative leader, Ejiro has built his political profile through regular engagement with community leaders, youths and women groups across the constituency.
They further argued that his experience in government has equipped him with the capacity to attract development projects, facilitate investments and promote legislative initiatives capable of addressing the needs of the constituency.
With the APC primary concluded, attention now turns to the party’s official confirmation of candidates and preparations for the 2027 general election, where the APC will seek to retain and expand its political influence across Delta State.
