APC Primary: Igban Leads in Warri South West Constituency II Poll

Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Warri South West Constituency II turned out in large numbers on Wednesday, for the party’s primary election to select its candidate for the newly created Delta State House of Assembly constituency.

The exercise witnessed a significant show of support for Andrew Omagbemi Igban, who secured the backing of a majority of party members and delegates during the primary.

Party faithful and supporters described the outcome as a reflection of confidence in Igban’s years of service and commitment to the development of Warri kingdom and the constituency.

Addressing supporters after the exercise, Igban expressed gratitude to party members for their support and trust.

He pledged to continue working for the people and to provide quality representation if eventually confirmed as the party’s candidate for the 2027 Delta State House of Assembly election.

He also called on APC members and supporters to remain united and focused on the party’s success in the 2027 general elections, urging them to mobilise support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, and other APC candidates.

The APC leadership is expected to officially announce and ratify the outcome of the primary in line with the party’s electoral guidelines.
