Update : Manhunt Underway as FUPRE Student Dies After Alleged Attack by Brother

The suspect in the fatal stabbing incident at the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE), has been identified as Joshua, a 100-level student of the institution.

Joshua is alleged to have stabbed his younger brother, who was also a 100-level student, to death following a dispute at Hostel C on the university campus on Tuesday evening.

According to reports, the victim was found behind his hostel with multiple stab wounds and was bleeding heavily. Despite efforts to save his life, he later succumbed to his injuries.

The whereabouts of the suspect remain unknown as of the time of filing this report. Authorities have yet to issue an official statement on the incident, while investigations are ongoing.
