Oborevwori Commissions Ultra-Modern Secondary School in Ogulagha
In a bid to improve access to quality and affordable education in riverine communities, Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori has commissioned an Ultra-Modern Secondary School in Ogulagha, Burutu Local Government Area.
The new facility, built by the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), is part of ongoing efforts to enhance educational infrastructure in oil-producing communities across the state.
Speaking at the inauguration, Governor Oborevwori emphasised the significance of the school in providing opportunities for children in remote areas to access high-quality education. “This aligns with DESOPADEC’s mandate to improve infrastructure in our oil-producing communities. It is my earnest hope that this Model School will produce future leaders and world changers,” he said.
The initiative is expected to address the educational needs of the community, offering modern learning facilities that will serve generations to come. The governor also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to prioritizing education as a key tool for development in the state.
