Delta Govt Welcomes New NYSC Batch, Pledges of Full Support

The Delta State Government has renewed its pledge to support National Youth Service Corps members as the 2025 Batch C Stream I orientation programme opened at the NYSC camp in Issele-Uku, Aniocha North.

Commissioner for Youth Development, Barrister Harry ThankGod Trakiriowei, representing Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, formally launched the course and urged the new corps members to approach their service year with discipline and a sense of national responsibility. He said the orientation period offers essential training that prepares young Nigerians for community work and civic engagement.

The Commissioner assured participants of a safe and supportive environment throughout their stay in Delta State, highlighting the state’s reputation for hospitality. He also commended the NYSC management for its role in fostering unity among young people.

As the corps members begin their programmes, he encouraged them to make positive contributions to their host communities and to serve as responsible ambassadors of the institutions they represent.
